Well, let's look at the bright side. If a remake of the truly great Oscar-winning film The Secret in their Eyes must happen at least it has talent the level of Julia Roberts, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman, and writer/director Billy Ray. Otherwise this would be one of those projects we'd like to wish out into the cornfield. The first image of the film has been released and it gives us a look at Roberts and Ejiofor focusing really hard on the mystery at hand. Speaking of which, here's the official synopsis to clue you into what that mystery entails.

Definitely some changes have been made from Juan Jose Campanella's original version, but as long as they keep the futbol stadium chase sequence we're all good. The Secret in their Eyes opens October 23rd.
