'Jurassic World' Director Colin Trevorrow to Open Up the 'Book of Henry'
Colin Trevorrow has had a faster rise to fame than most indie filmmakers. His next film, Jurassic World, is only his second feature behind the art house favorite, Safety Not Guaranteed. He recently signed on to direct Intelligent Life, a sci-fi film which looked to be next on his list of projects. But that may no longer be the case as Trevorrow has agreed to direct Book of Henry, an original story by best-selling novelist Gregg Hurwitz.
Any details on Book of Henry remain a secret, but the plan is to begin filming in New York this fall.
“‘Book of Henry’ is a remarkable piece of screenwriting that has stuck with me for years,” says Trevorrow. “I feel very fortunate to be able to tell this story. It is a true original.”
Hurwitz has written fourteen novels and has also penned several comics for Marvel and DC. One of his novels, Orphan X, is slated is headed to the big screen with Bradley Cooper to produce and possibly star.
