Poster for Gillian Flynn Adaptation 'Dark Places' starring Charlize Theron

There's another adaptation of a Gillian Flynn novel on the way, and no it's not the continuing marital misadventures of Nick and Amy Dunne. The Gone Girl author is a hot commodity around Hollywood thanks to her collaboration with David Fincher, but her 2009 novel Dark Places is also headed to the screen. In fact, it opens overseas next month and the first international poster for it has arrived.

Led by Charlize Theron, Dark Places centers on a woman who as a teenager witnesses the murder of her family, and testified against her brother for the crime. Now thirty years later she is forced to confront what happened by a bunch of junior sleuths known as the Kill Club who are trying to uncover the truth. Tye Sheridan, Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult, Chloe Moretz, and Corey Stoll co-star with Gilles Paquet-Brenner (Sarah's Key) directing.

Dark Places opens in France on April 8th. That it has yet to gain a U.S. date is a little troubling, especially since it has been completed for awhile now and already has an R-rating by the MPAA.
