Dylan O'Brien and Kurt Russell Dive Into 'Deepwater Horizon'

With Peter Berg stepping in to replace J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) on the true disaster film, Deepwater Horizon, the expectations for it have also changed. Reuniting with his Lone Survivor star, Mark Wahlberg, Berg is likely to make this into more of an action movie than Chandor would have, which explains his departure over "creative differences". But production is finally getting underway and the cast around Wahlberg is coming together with the possible additions of Dylan O'Brien and Kurt Russell.

O'Brien and Russell are coming off two big franchise flicks in The Maze Runner and Furious 7 respectively. O'Brien has also been rumored for Marvel's new Spider-Man film although he's denied those stories.  In Deepwater Horizon he'll play Caleb Holloway, the youngest member of the BP oil rig that exploded in 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico. Russell's role has yet to be revealed. The veteran actor is expected to return for Fast & Furious 8 whenever that gets moving.
