It's Double the Tom Hardy in First Teaser for Gangster Film 'Legend'
With the mediocre and mostly-ignored Child 44 in the rear view, there's still plenty of Tom Hardy on the way. Next month brings the highly anticipated Mad Max: Fury Road, and he's still got Alejandro Gonzalez-Inarritu's The Revenant and the musical London Road. For those who simply can't get enough of the man who broke Batman's back, Brian Helgeland's (42) mobster film Legend offers up twice the Hardy for the price of one.
The first trailer for Legend has arrived, and it features Hardy in the dual roles of real-life twin gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Kray. The twin siblings ruled East London's organized crime in the 1950s and '60s with their gang, "The Firm". As nightclub owners they often rubbed elbows with prominent entertainers and politicians, making them celebrities in their own right. The film also stars Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Emily Browning, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, David Thewlis, and more.
There's no hard release date for this one yet, but assuming it comes out later this year will audience make room for both this and Johnny Depp's Black Mass?
