Rumored for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast some weeks ago, Josh Gad has now taken to Instagram and confirmed his role in the film by taking a selfie with the rest of the cast. The image shows Gad, who will play comic sidekick Lefou, alongside Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, and Kevin Kline as Belle's father, Maurice.
Not seen in the image are Emma Thompson, who will play Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette. With director Bill Condon set to begin filming next month we should learn soon who will play the rebellious candlestick, Lumiere.
Beauty and the Beast opens March 17th 2017.
