Kevin Hart gets 'Greener'; Juliette Binoche Heads to 'Slack Bay'; Brie Larson Joins 'Free Fire'
So Get Hard wasn't quite the smash hit many expected it to be, but that's not going to slow Kevin Hart down any. He's reteaming with uber-producer Will Packer for a new comedy titled Greener, about a man in a loveless marriage but is too cowardly to ask for a divorce. So his big idea is to hire someone to seduce his wife, only to discover that he's still in love with her. This is still very early on as a writer and director still need to be found. [Tracking Board]
Juliette Binoche is set to star in Slack Bay, directed by Bruno Dumont, who worked with her on 2013's Camille Claudel 1915. Also starring Fabrice Luchini, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi and Jean-Luc Vincent, the dark comedy is set in 1910 on the beaches of northern France and follows the investigation into the disappearance of several tourists. Ben Wheatley is already a favorite among cinephiles, but he's also attracting a lot of attention from Hollywood heavyweights. While his next film High-Rise is coming later this year, Wheatley's follow-up Free Fire has Martin Scorsese as a producer and a top notch cast. There's been a change near the top, though, as Brie Larson has come aboard to replace Olivia Wilde, who will probably be busy with Tron 3. Larson joins Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley, and Armie Hammer in the 1970s Boston thriller about a meeting between two rival gangs that explodes into a shoot-out and a fight for survival.
