Milla Jojovich is Hunted by Pierce Brosnan in the First 'Survivor' Trailer
Contrary to Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan's late-career rebirth as an action star isn't turning out so well. The thing that makes it strange is that Brosnan has far more experience having played James Bond for more than a decade. Yet nobody seemed to care about The November Man, which was supposed to be the start of a franchise, and this summer's No Escape looks horrid. But he's far from done with lousy-looking action flicks as this May brings Survivor, which sees Brosnan paired up with Milla Jojovich. Maybe some of her Resident Evil mojo will rub off?
This one is directed by V for Vendetta's James McTeigue, and maybe if this was 2006 that would be promising news, but it's 2015 and no it's not. Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, James D'Arcy, and Dylan McDermott co-star in the film which centers on a State Dept. official (Jojovich) who is on the run from an assassin (Brosnan) but also must clear her name after being framed for a terrorist bombing. The trailer has lots of explosions and people talking in conference rooms, but can't shake the impression it's just another generic thriller.
Survivor hits theaters on May 29th.
