No 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Post-Credits Scene; Plus Rumor Updates and Vintage-Style Trailer
Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige just did you a major solid. Audiences have grown accustomed to post-credits scenes after nearly every Marvel movie, to the point where they're expected in just about every blockbuster. But nothing sucks more than sitting around waiting for the boring credits to finish rolling only to learn it was all for nothing. Well, now you won't have to worry about waiting until the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
EW caught up with Joss Whedon and Marvel prez Kevin Feige who revealed there will be no post-credits scene after Avengers: Age of Ultron because they don't think it's possible to top the shawarma scene. I would beg to differ. However, you'll want to stick a minute or two for a mid-credits "tag" scene.
And will this "tag" include the much-rumored first appearance of Captain Marvel? Sadly, no. Feige confirmed the heroine will not be debuting in the film, but she's bound to show up somewhere before her solo debut in 2018.
As for the other big rumor of the week, the apparent roles for Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini, EW confirms both actresses are in the film. Of course who they'll be is being kept secret, but someone will be playing a young Black Widow's instructor. That sounds like something Delpy would be perfect for, doesn't it?
Finally, Vulture has a cool vintage trailer that shows how the advertising would have been different in 1995. Basically it would have been just a little bit cheesier.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1st.
