Reese Witherspoon has totally remade her career over the last year, earning a Best Actress nomination (she should've won, but I digress) for Wild. But she's also done her share of silly comedies over the years, and now she's got another one in Hot Pursuit, a chase flick co-starring SofiaVergara. So get ready for lots of tight outfits and broken English.
Directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal), the film centers on an uptight cop charged with protecting the wife of a drug kingpin from dirty cops and hit-men. This looks light lightweight, goofy stuff, but Witherspoon and Vergara have great chemistry together and the gags about Witherspoon's height are pretty funny, even when she begins dressing like Justin Bieber.
Hot Pursuit opens on May 8th.
