Rumors Ben Affleck's Batman could appear in Suicide Squad have been around for a few months now, with little hard evidence either way. It makes sense given the close connection David Ayer's film seems to have with the Caped Crusader, including a number of his primary villains like Jared Leto's tattooed maniac version of The Joker. But, if Batman could appear in Suicide Squad, doesn't it stand to reason Joker could be in Batman v Superman? What's coming up could count as a spoiler so just consider yourself warned.
The connection got a little bit clearer today when Affleck and the Batmobile were spotted in Toronto, which is where Suicide Squad is filming. While that's hardly a confirmation of anything, nobody would be saying anything if he wasn't there.
His presence in Toronto has Latino Review opening up a little bit about the Joker, though, and they say he'll be showing up in Batman v Superman in a scene that explains why he's in jail during Suicide Squad. We've heard reports of a scene in the Batcave where a memorial to Robin rests, and we'll apparently get to see the Joker murder Batman's sidekick as part of a sad Bruce Wayne flashback.
