Honestly? April Fool's Day is a terrible, terrible thing. Far too many legit news sites wasted their day with joke reports (Back to the Future 4!!!) and elaborate hoaxes. For me, who has been in the air flying to Vegas most of the day, it's simply made me look elsewhere. Apparently over at 20th Century Fox, they and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds had enough spare time to joke around about the film's MPAA rating. But at least the end result is the news fans have been dying for.
So basically it all began with the site Joblo (which I like but today they sucked balls) which ran a story saying that Deadpool would definitely be rated PG-13. This comes just days after Ryan Reynolds expressed his support for an R-rating. Reynolds joined in with some tweets claiming the film would still be awesome and to not worry. But alas it was all a cruel, not especially funny joke (that included Mario Lopez to make it even worse) with Reynolds revealing the film will indeed be given the coveted R-rating.
