It's time to return to that galaxy far far away, and while that journey began with a simple 88-second teaser back in November, it really takes off now with a longer trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The footage was revealed today by JJ Abrams and Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy as part of Star Wars Celebration, and it opens with Luke Skywalker saying ominously, "The Force is strong in my family", followed by the ruined helmet of Darth Vader.
Star Wars has always been a story about family, specifically the Skywalker clan and the immense power they wield, and based on this that story is definitely going to continue. There's also a lot more going on with new characters, new foes, new starships, new everything. A lot has changed in the 30 years since Return of the Jedi, and if that's not enough to get Star Wars fans excited nothing will do it.
