There's no hotter comedienne out there right now than Amy Schumer. Her provocative Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer has at least one skit that goes viral every week, like her recent parodies of Friday Night Lights and 12 Angry Men. She's already set to lead her first big screen effort in Judd Apatow's Trainwreck, and now she's ready to join Paul Feig for a new comedy project.
Feig, who has a track record of great female comedies to his name already, will direct an action comedy which Schumer will star in. Said to be in the spirit of The Heat, no surprise given it was first written by that film's screenwriter Katie Dippold, the untitled film involves a mother and daughter on a vacation that goes wrong. Schumer and her sister Kim Caramele will give the script a rewrite before things get moving.
Don't be surprised if there are many more projects with Schumer's name attached, especially if Trainwreck is the hit many expect it to be.
