Josh Hutcherson to Star in James Franco's Adaptation 'The Long Home'

Has a new bromance emerged between James Franco and The Hunger Games' Josh Hutcherson? Franco cast Hutcherson for his adaptation of John Steinbeck's In Dubious Battle, and now he's set to lead his next directorial effort, The Long Home.

Franco will direct and possibly star in the adaptation of William Gay's book, which is set in 1940s Tennessee and follows Nathan (Hutcherson) a headstrong young carpenter who comes to work for the same people responsible for the death of his father years ago. Nathan begins to realize that a terrible evil is being to resurface.

There are still a couple of major roles to be filled, including a female lead, but nothing on that casting yet. Hutcherson will be seen next in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 which arrives this November. [TheWrap]
