'Now You See Me 3' Already in the Works at Lionsgate

You may recall that the magician heist film Now You See Me was my most anticipated film of 2013. It didn't totally live up to my lofty expectations, but it was enjoyable enough. Not really enough to warrant a sequel, but we're getting one anyway with Now You See Me: The Second Act. And apparently that won't be the last time the Four Horsemen will perform their magic.

Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer revealed today that work on a third film is already in the beginning stages, saying “We’ve already begun early planning for ‘Now You See Me 3." This is a pretty bold move, as the sequel is hardly a sure thing. While much of the original cast is returning, there have been some changes. Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) has taken over as director, and Isla Fisher was replaced by Lizzy Caplan. Daniel Radcliffe has come aboard as the son of Michael Caine's character, adding more starpower to a film that already boasts Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Mark Ruffalo.

So Lionsgate is really looking to build more franchises to take The Hunger Games' place. Now You See Me: The Second Act hits theaters on June 10th 2016.
