Todd Phillips' claim to fame has been The Hangover trilogy, the ultimate in off-the-wall bro comedies. However the finale ended on an oddly dark note, resembling a serious crime film more than fans expected or wanted. Maybe it was all just Phillips getting ready for what came next, Arms and the Dudes, a true crime tale starring Miles Teller and Jonah Hill.
Filming is underway and now Phillips has revealed the first images showing Teller and Hill in action. Based on Guy Lawson's Rolling Stone article, the story follows two Miami friends who get in way over their heads when they score a $300M weapons contract with the Pentagon to arm our Afghan allies. So how do two regular guys with no experience in the shady world of political arms trafficking fare? Well, it goes badly enough that Phillips wanted to make a movie out of it.
Arms and the Dudes opens March 11th 2016.
