Alicia Vikander Chooses Damon Over Fassbender by Joining 'Bourne 5'
2015 has been the year of Alicia Vikander. She's practically everywhere, starring in so many films it's like she's been possessed by the spirit of 2012 Olivia Wilde. Vikander is in such demand she's been forced to make a decision on two high-profile projects: Bourne 5 and the video game adaptation, Assassin's Creed. Well, now she's made a decision and it looks like she's chosen Matt Damon over Michael Fassbender.
Vikander will join the returning Damon, Paul Greengrass, and Julia Stiles in the espionage franchise. Her tight schedule wouldn't allow her do this and Assassin's Creed, and she had to make a decision, just as she had to choose to exit James Ponsoldt's The Circle. We still don't know much about the plot so it's too early for details on her character, but hopefully she lasts longer than Franka Potente.
Vikander was seen earlier this year in Seventh Son, Son of a Gun, and Ex Machina, while she can currently be seen in theaters in Testament of Youth. She still has The Man from UNCLE, The Light Between Oceans, Tulip Fever, and The Danish Girl due out later this year. [Deadline]
