First Trailer for 'The Secret Life of Pets' from the Makers of 'Despicable Me'
One of the clever gags in Pixar's Inside Out involves taking us inside the minds of a dog and a cat to see how their thought processes can lead to such weird actions. There aren't a billion pet videos on Youtube for nothing. If pets do such crazy things in front of us, imagine the kind of stuff they get into when we humans aren't around, and that's the premise behind the animated comedy, The Secret Life of Pets, which has just revealed its first teaser.
From Illumination, the folks behind Despicable Me and Minions, the film features the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks. While the title tells us most of what we need to know about the plot, there's also some kind of conflict going on between the comfortable house pets and the abandoned ones. None of that surfaces in this brief footage, though, which basically serves as an introduction to the furry friends we'll be following.
Directed by Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney, The Secret Life of Pets opens July 8th.
