Ant-Man isn't the likeliest of Marvel heroes to get his own movie. In the comics he's an important but not especially popular character, regardless of who is wearing the suit. But that could also have been said about Iron Man back before the 2008 movie invigorated the character, and now he's undoubtedly one of the most important heroes of the entire Marvel Universe again. Can director Peyton Reed and star Paul Rudd accomplish the feat of making Ant-Man an A-list superhero?
There's a ton of new footage in the latest international trailer. Plus, there's a nifty viral video centered on Corey Stoll as Darren Cross, the head of Cross Technologies and the villain Yellowjacket.
Last night some select members of the press got a chance to see the film early and their reactions were mostly mixed. However, most say there are two really good post-credits scenes that people will want to stick around for.
Also starring Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, and Michael Pena, Ant-Man opens July 17th.
