Last night Marvel held the red carpet premiere of Ant-Man, another quirky film they hope can connect with audiences similar to Guardians of the Galaxy. Fortunately, they have Paul Rudd on their side. Marvel has released an extended clip that focuses completely on Rudd as Scott Lang, and it gives us a look at the film's offbeat sense of humor, the special effects, and more in greater context than we've previously seen.
We've seen plenty of brief scenes of Ant-Man in action, but this is the longest clip yet and provides a wider picture of Lang's first time testing out the suit. It looks like director Peyton Reed is going to have a lot of fun playing around with perspectives, and Rudd may be just the perfect guy for us to experience this crazy adventure through.
Also starring Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, and Bobby Cannavale, Ant-Man opens July 17th.
