Constance Zimmer joins the Third Season of 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD'
Lately it seems Constance Zimmer can be found everywhere on the big and small screen. If you don't know her name, you probably know her as Dana Gordon in HBO's Entourage, in which she frequently went tooth-and-nail with Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold. Not only did she appear in the show's recent film adaptation, but she also co-starred opposite Guy Pearce and Cobie Smulders in Results; she also had a role in the pilot episode of USA Network series Complications; and she's earning acclaim right now for the Lifetime series UnREAL, which just got picked up for a second season. So now what's she to do? How about joining Smulders as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Zimmer has joined the third season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, playing the head of a mysterious group that will be racing against Agent Coulson's team to locate new Inhumans.
Exec-producer Jeph Loeb said of the casting...
“When casting this role, we needed someone that could go toe-to-toe with Coulson. Constance brings a level of wit and spark to the role we could have only dreamed of, and we’re beyond excited to add her to our already stellar cast going into the new season.”
It's unclear if Zimmer is playing an established Marvel character or someone brand new, or if she'll be involved with the Secret Warriors who are expected to be part of the next season.
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC on September 29th.
