Dwayne Johnson and Brad Peyton to Reunite for 'Rampage' Video Game Flick
Well, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, and in fact it was exactly what I predicted last month, but it looks as if Dwayne Johnson will reunite with director Brad Peyton for Rampage, based on the classic video game. Johnson and Peyton have worked on two hit films together, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and the disaster flick, San Andreas. They also were briefly attached to a Lobo film for Warner Bros.
Penned by Ryan Engle, Rampage will have Johnson going toe-to-toe with the video games' three memorable giant monsters: George the gorilla, Lizzie the lizard, and a werewolf named Ralph, who are destroying the city. The story being put together by Engle is still under wraps, although most people would be happy with "The Rock fights monsters".
Johnson will jump straight into Rampage after shooting his part in Fast & Furious 8. [Deadline]
