Jesse Eisenberg thinks Comic-Con and Genocide are Pretty Much the Same

While there weren't a lot of complaints about the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer unveiled at Comic-Con, the one issue some have expressed is Jesse Eisenberg's weird scenes as Lex Luthor. They seemed a bit too offbeat for the deadly serious film, which pits DC's two biggest heroes against one another. Eisenberg was there in person and, truthfully, he didn't seem too impressed by the whole Hall H experience, and now we have an idea why.

While doing press for the David Foster Wallace drama End of the Tour, Eisenberg didn't hold back on his negative feelings towards Comic-Con...

"It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can't think of anything that's equivalent."

Rarely is it a good idea to compare anything to "genocide", but certainly it's not the best way to stay in your fans' good graces. We'll see if Eisenberg does any damage control once the Batman v Superman interviews begin. At the very least don't expect to see him at Comic-Con next year. One has to wonder if this attitude extends to comic book movie fans as a whole, and if so we may not be seeing too much of Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in the future. We shall see. [THR]
