Morgan Freeman to star in 'Air Force One'-esque action Flick 'Down to a Sunless Sea'

Liam Neeson isn't the only old fogey to find a comfortable home in the realm of action movies. His Batman Begins co-star Morgan Freeman has been appearing in them regularly, from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves to Lucy to Olympus Has Fallen and the upcoming sequel, London Has Fallen. And now he's signing on to another one, which is drawing comparisons to Air Force One.

According to Variety, Freeman is set to star in Down to a Sunless Sea, an action flick penned by David Gleeson. Story points remain hidden at this point so it's unclear if the film will take place on a jet plane similar to Air Force One, or if Freeman will be playing the POTUS or someone who saves him. Let's hope it's the latter because that would be cool as sh*t.

Besides London Has Fallen, Freeman is also set to co-star in a remake of Ben-Hur. He's also got an HBO miniseries on Bass Reeves, and he'll star with Michael Caine and Alan Arkin in a remake of the caper comedy, Going in Style.
