*UPDATE* Paul Feig has hit Twitter and revealed the names of his Ghostbusters, and it looks like most of them already have nicknames: Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, Abby Yates and Patty Tolan. The full tweet is below.
We've seen a number of teases for Paul Feig's Ghosbusters reboot, most of them from the director himself. Some, like the recent image of the all-girl squad together, were captured by outlets snapping set photos. So Feig has taken it upon himself to reveal the first official shot of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones alongside the Ecto-1.
The film also stars Andy Garcia, Chris Hemsworth, and Michael K. Williams. Here's the official synopsis: "Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.”
