After a couple of years of sitting around on the shelf, suddenly two trailers have emerged for serial killer flick Solace in less than a week. Looks like someone is trying to make up for lost time. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Abbie Cornish, the film is directed by Afonso Poyart (2 Rabbits), and the screenplay was originally written as a planned sequel to David Fincher's Seven, only for that project to be scrapped.
Hopkins plays an intuitive, possibly psychic analyst who aids a pair of detectives in stopping a serial killer played by Farrell. The first trailer looked pretty generic as far as these kinds of movies go, and this shorter cut isn't too impressive, either.
Solace has yet to gain a U.S. date but opens in France next month.
