Disney Unveils the First 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' Posters
With so many $1B-dollar franchises at their disposal, it's easy to forget that Disney also has Alice in Wonderland. There hasn't been much news on the sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass, since filming began last year with new director James Bobin taking over from Tim Burton. And of course, Johnny Depp is back as the Mad Hatter with Mia Wasikowska reprising her titular role. But with Disney's D23 Expo taking place it was a good time to get the promotional campaign going with two new posters.
The sequel “revisits Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland—and back in Time.” The images feature Wasikowska's Alice and Depp's Hatter walking on a trail of clocks, with the tagline "It's Time for a Little Madness". Also returning are Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. The rest of the cast consists of Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Ed Speleers as James Harcourt, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Toby Jones as Wilkins, Alan Rickman as Blue Caterpillar, Michael Sheen as White Rabbit, Paul Whitehouse as the March Hare, Barbara Windsor as Dormouse and Timothy Spall as Bayard.
Alice Through the Looking Glass opens May 27th 2016.
