Toy Story 3 was such a perfect conclusion for Pixar's most beloved characters that few expected there to be a sequel. For a long time it didn't seem as if one would ever happen, especially with Toy Story short films keeping fans in touch with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the gang. But then late last year Toy Story 4 was officially announced; not surprising given the money these movies make, and it was revealed it would be the franchise's first romantic comedy. But who would be the loving couple?
John Lasseter revealed at Disney's D23 Expo that Toy Story 4 would be a love story between Woody and....Bo Peep. Yes, the one who lost her sheep. The porcelain Bo Peep has long been Woody's love interest but the character vanished in Toy Story 3, her whereabouts unknown. It has been suggested that she was given away in a yard sale, and at one point Woody does get depressed when mentioning her as one of the toys that found new owners. Lee Unkrich would later confirm this, and it will be interesting to see how the character is brought back into Woody's life.
