New Clip from WWE Studios' '12 Rounds 3: Lockdown' Starring Dean Ambrose
Ever since Dean Ambrose debuted on the WWE's main roster in 2012, it's been clear that he was a little bit off. They don't call him the "Lunatic Fringe" for nothing, and he's been running roughshod through the roster ever since. His volatile personality hasn't just made him dangerous in the ring, but it also made him perfect to lead WWE Studios' action flick, 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown, and the first clip for it is here.
Ambrose takes over for WWE superstars John Cena and Randy Orton who starred in the first two movies that typically have a protagonist put through twelve grueling "tests" by some bad guy. This new installment seems a bit different as Ambrose plays police detective John Shaw who must clear his name after a group of dirty cops frame him for murder. The film co-stars Roger Cross (The Strain), Daniel Cudmore (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Locklyn Munro, and Rebecca Marshall (Raze).
Basically, this scene looks like it could have come from just about any other WWE Studios movie. What's great is that they're giving a shot to superstars other than Cena who has done perfectly fine on his own.
12 Rounds 3: Lockdown hits theaters and VOD on September 11th.
