Unused 'Fantastic Four' Footage Includes the Team's Fantasticar

To get an idea of just how radically the finished version of Fantastic Four differs from earlier cuts, all one needs to do is go back and look at the early promos. There's a great deal of footage seen in some of those trailers that clearly wasn't in the film, and perhaps that is what Josh Trank means when he says there was a "fantastic version" of the movie that we'll probably never see. But that unused material is still out there, and you can get a look at some of it in some newly-released b-roll footage.

The b-roll shows glimpses of scenes that didn't make the final cut, including one in which Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan) is tended to by Sue (Kate Mara) after being seriously wounded. You can also see that the Fantasti-Car was to be included at some point, too, which seems obvious in retrospect given it was alluded to early on in the film. And yet somehow it was dropped from the final version, just another example of how disjointed the whole thing was. There were so many random edits to go along with multiple reshoots that poor Kate Mara had to don the absolute worst wig imaginable to try and hide it. Seriously, they spent how much on this movie and they couldn't even get a decent hairpiece?

Below you can check out the b-roll plus some images courtesy of Da7e Gonzalez that show some of the removed scenes.
