He's joined Partners, an original buddy cop comedy from screenwriter Evan Turner that will have Wahlberg teaming up with a female co-star. With Tom Hanks already set to headline Clint Eastwood's biopic on Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, THR is now reporting that Aaron Eckhart will join him. He'll play Jeff Skiles, Sully's co-pilot during the heroic 2009 flight that has come to be known as the "Miracle on the Hudson". The film will be based on Sully's book, Highest Duty.
Analeigh Tipton (Mississippi Grind), Shannon Woodward (The Breakup Girl), Jon Daly (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Taran Killam (SNL), and Hunter Parrish (Still Alice) have joined The Runaround. The comedy stars JK Simmons, Emile Hirsch, and Kristen Schall, centering on a workaholic father who tries to visit his daughter while on layover in Los Angeles. But when he learns she has gone missing, he forces her awkward, broken-hearted ex to help him find her over the course of one crazy night. Gavin Wiesen (The Art of Getting By) is directing with filming underway now. [THR]
