CM Punk, one of the most controversial superstars in WWE history, is about to drop another pipe bomb, only now it'll be on Hollywood. Punk, real name Phil Brooks, and his wife, ex-WWE diva AJ Lee, are set to co-star in a new action-horror film titled Hellstorm. Punk is the longest reigning WWE Champion of all-time, while AJ held the WWE Divas Championship longer than anyone until Nikki Bella broke her 295-day record yesterday.
Written and directed by William Butler (Madhouse), Hellstorm's cast includes Mat Fraser (American Horror Story), Colleen Camp (American Hustle), Selene Luna (My Bloody Valentine), Kate Hodge (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III), Brian Goff (BorderCross). Here's the synopsis:
After the collapse of the world’s financial system and a devastating world war, a group of mismatched survivors are forced to band together and battle a variety of unexplainable and horrific beasts that descend on their tiny makeshift community.
Probably not what fans of Punk and Lee were hoping for, but at least they're keeping busy. And who knows? Maybe he'll hit one of those monsters with a G.T.S.? Punk is currently training to make his big UFC debut.
