Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Star In Psychological Thriller 'In Sight'

The multi-talented Joseph Gordon-Levitt stays pretty busy, and right now he's juggling multiple projects. He can currently be seen in IMAX 3D theaters in Robert Zemeckis' high-wire drama The Walk (which I saw a second time this weekend), and recently wrapped the lead role in Oliver Stone's controversial Snowden. While he's apparently still working on an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, he will fit in another acting role as star of the psychological thriller, In Sight.

Details on the film aren't available yet, but we know it is based on a pitch by screenwriter Katie Lovejoy.  Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will produce, and there was a bidding war for the project that saw Universal Pictures put down a "high six figures" offer to win. Lovejoy is pretty hot at the moment, having emerged on the 2010 Black List for The Arsonist Love Story. She's also writing Warner Bros.' YA adaptation The Selection, which some think will be the new Hunger Games

That's a lot of money for a seemingly random psycho-thriller that doesn't even have a director attached. It just goes to show how highly the studios regard Gordon-Levitt and anything he does. [Deadline]
