John Travolta Joins 'Little Mizz Innocent'; 'Ghost In the Shell' Adds Riley; Bella Thorne Meets 'John F. Donovan'

John Travolta is the latest big name to join the action-thriller Little Mizz Innocent, joining Olga Kurylenko, Christopher Plummer, Tyrese Gibson, Ben Kingsley, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman), the film stars Kurylenko as an unassuming U.N. interpreter stuck in the middle of a power struggle between the FBI and a criminal dynasty. While Travolta's role is unclear, don't be surprised if he's part of that whole "criminal dynasty" thing.

Sam Riley (On the Road) will play the cyber-villain Laughing Man in the live-action Ghost In the Shell film starring Scarlett Johansson and Pilou Asbaek. Rupert Sanders is directing the film which is based on Masamune Shirow's classic manga and anime centering on a special police unit led by a cybernetic agent and tasked with stopping dangerous techno-criminals. Next up for Riley is a lead role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. [Variety]

Xavier Dolan has added Bella Thorne (Blended), Michael Gambon (aka Dumbledore), Emily Hampshire, and Chris Zylka to the cast of The Death and Life of John F. Donovan. They join Jessica Chastain, Kit Harington, Taylor Kitsch, Kathy Bates, Susan Sarandon, and Adele in the film about a young actor recalling the secretive correspondence he shared with a famous American actor who died ten years earlier. Thorne will play the assistant to Chastain's character, the editor-in-chief of a gossip magazine. [TheWrap]
