Remember back in 1999 when everyone was obsessed with The Matrix and whether or not they'd take the blue or red pill? The guy offering that choice to Keanu Reeves at the time was Laurence Fishburne, and the two went on to complete that massive trilogy....such as it turned out. Well now Neo and Morpheus have been reunited for another sequel, John Wick 2.
Fishburne was spotted on set reuniting with Reeves, decked out in some shaggy-type clothes, far from the slick suits his co-star usually wears as the eponymous hitman. Variety caught up with Fishburne's reps and confirmed he's on board the action flick for a brief cameo. He'll be joining returning co-stars Bridget Moynahahn, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane, along with new additions Common and Peter Stormare.
Chad Stahelski, who co-directed the first John Wick film and was a stunt double for Reeves in The Matrix trilogy, is back to direct this one solo.
