Emma Stone Will Get Those Puppies In Disney's Live-Action 'Cruella'

It seems like everyone just sorta forgot about Disney's live-action Cruella De Vil film, based on the iconic villainess from 101 Dalmatians. The film was announced a couple of years ago and that was pretty much it. All of Disney's numerous other live-action remakes get mentioned but this one, for some reason, was ignored. Well, there will be no ignoring it any longer since Emma Stone is set to GET....THOSE....PUPPIES!!!

Stone is set to take the title role in Cruella, an origin story that presumably will tell us why she's obsessed with turning dalmatians into outerwear. Kelly Marcel, who wrote Disney's Saving Mr. Banks, is taking on the screenplay after Aline Brosh McKenna (Cinderella) gave it a go.

Stone will be following on Glenn Close's memorable performance as Cruella in Disney's live-action 101 Dalmatians and its unfortunate sequel, 102 Dalmatians. At this point there's no director attached but that should change with filming set for later this year. [THR]
