There's a mystery surrounding the sixth season of HBO's Game of Thrones that has never been there before, especially now that they've gone well beyond George R.R. Martin's books. But that's not all as HBO is also in very deep negotiations with showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff to extend the series for seventh and eighth seasons, which is what many have expected for a while now based on the creators' prior comments.
