'Jessica Jones' Picked Up For A Second Season By Netflix

While Marvel and Netflix are currently weighing whether to move forward on a Punisher series, the two are ready for a second season of Jessica Jones right now. According to Deadline, Netflix has picked up another 3-episode season of the hit series, which stars Krysten Ritter as the titular superhero-turned-private detective.

The show was the second part of the deal between Marvel and Netflix, following on Daredevil's success. The reviews for Jessica Jones were just as good if not better, and helped cement the strategy that will see it followed by shows featuring Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and ultimately, The Defenders.  Cage, played by Mike Colter, was introduced as part of Jessica Jones but it's unclear if he will be part of a new season or just stick to his own.

Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg is likely to return, but what about David Tennant as the creepy Killgrave? He was nearly as big a draw as Jones herself.
