Vince Vaughn Must Stay Alive In First Trailer For 'Term Life' Co-Starring Hailee Steinfeld

While much has been made of Vince Vaughn's recent shift towards the dramatic, the truth is that he's often strayed from his comic strengths. It's just that lately it's been more pronounced, particularly during his solid run on HBO's True Detective where he more than held his own on the gritty cop drama. But he's not done, and a while back he signed on star in Term Life opposite Hailee Steinfeld, a film that sees him in action mode.

Directed by Peter Billingsley (Couples Retreat, A Christmas Story) and co-starring Bill Paxton, Jon Favreau, Taraji P. Henson, Mike Epps, Shea Whigham, Terrence Howard, Jordi Molla, and more, the film finds Vaughn as a man everybody seems to want dead. Now that a price is out on his head, he decides to take out a life insurance policy on himself payable to his daughter. But it doesn't go into effect for 21 days and he has to stay alive long enough for her to collect.

Why not just move somewhere incredibly remote? That probably wouldn't make as entertaining of a movie.  Term Life hits VOD on March 1st, much like Steinfeld's Barely Lethal did last year, making for a disturbing trend for her. The film will then hit theaters on a limited basis starting April 8th.
