Always one to have a few surprises up his sleeve, J.J. Abrams decided to drop a trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane on the unsuspecting masses. A sorta-sequel to his hit monster film, Cloverfield, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher Jr. in a story that is being kept completely under wraps.
The new Super Bowl spot doesn't reveal much more, but what we do know is that the story centers on a woman being held in an underground bunker by a man who thinks the outside world has been destroyed. So this is probably taking place during the events of Cloverfield, or it could be something completely different. "Something is coming", but is it what we think it is?
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, 10 Cloverfield Lane opens March 11th.
