What are the chances Jeremy Saulnier can raise the bar for the siege thriller just as his Blue Ruin did for vengeance flicks? According to the early reviews, including my own from Sundance last month, the chances are pretty darn good. A new punk rockin', violent red band trailer for the film has been released and it shows you why so many are eagerly awaiting its arrival in theaters.
Starring Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Patrick Stewart, Mark Webber, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, and Blue Ruin's Macon Blair, the film centers on a punk rock band who witness a murder after playing a set for a club full of neo-Nazis. You'll get to see a side of Stewart like never before as he plays the skinhead leader who can't let the band escape alive.
Green Room opens wide on April 29th after a New York/Los Angeles debut on April 15th.
