First Trailer For Anthology 'Rio, I Love You' Featuring Paolo Sorrentino, John Turturro, Vincent Cassel, And More
Every few years ago some of the world's top directors and actors pair up to show their love for a particular city. So far these collaborations have produced Paris, je t'Aime and New York, I Love You, the first two chapters in the "Cities of Love" series of anthology films, and as is usually the case with the approach, not all of the segments work. But the feeling for the subjects is still there, and now that attention has turned to Brazil with the latest film, Rio, I Love You.
Stars Emily Mortimer, Rodrigo Santoro, Harvey Keitel, Vincent Cassel, Jason Isaacs, Ryan Kwanten and Fernanda Montenegro team up with directors such as Guillermo Arriaga, Stephan Elliott, Im Sang-soo, Nadine Labaki, Fernando Meirelles, José Padilha, Carlos Saldanha, Paolo Sorrentino, John Turturro and Andrucha Waddington for a group of short films centered around the titular city.
Chances are if you were into the firs two, then this will be your speed, as well. Personally I've found the trailers, like the new one released today, to be better than the movies themselves. Rio, I Love You opens April 15th.
