'Fargo' Creator Noah Hawley To Direct High Concept Sci-Fi Film, 'Man Alive'
The expectations for a Fargo TV series were pretty low going in, with few expecting that anyone could do the Coen Brothers classic justice on the small screen. And yet through two seasons, creator Noah Hawley has crafted what many say is the best program on TV. Can he replicate that success on the big screen, though? We're about to find out.
Deadline reports that Hawley is set to direct Man Alive, recently acquired by 20th Century Fox in a six-figure deal. Not many details are known at this point, but it was written by newcomer Joe Greenberg and is being described as "elevated sci-fi". So until we know more, take what you can from that title, which sounds like some kind of survival thriller.
Hawley's got a lot on his plate already, as he's currently developing FX's X-Men spinoff series, Legion, and a miniseries adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. Good luck with that one. Maybe it's time I finally gave Fargo a shot?
