First 'Doctor Strange' Poster Enters The Sanctum Sanctorum

You can always count on there being at least two Marvel movies every single year, and while most of the attention has been focused on next month's Captain America: Civil War, it's time to start looking ahead. The second film of 2016 is the long-awaited introduction of Doctor Strange into the MCU with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme himself. The trailer is set to debut later tonight but ahead of that Marvel has released the first poster.

The image takes us into the Doctor's Sanctum Sanctorum, his magical townhome located on Bleecker Street in the heart of Greenwich Village. It's there that Strange keeps many of his powerful artifacts, and in the comics it's disguised from public view thanks to Strange's spells.

Directed by Scott Derrickson and co-starring Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams, Scott Adkins, Benedict Wong, and Amy Landecker, Doctor Strange opens November 4th.
