First Trailer And Poster For Unusual Dance Drama 'The Fits'

One of the most unique entries to arrive at Sundance this year,  debut director Anna Rose Holmer's The Fits is an interesting blend of supernatural dance movie and coming-of-age story. Sounds like an impossible combination, but by most accounts the film is worthy of attention, and so is its young star, Royalty Hightower.

The first trailer for the film has arrived and it packs an energetic punch. Fitting for the story of a young female boxer who decides to join the dance team, only to fall victim to the mysterious "fits", spasms that have afflicted the other team members. 

Based on this, it looks like Holmer is exploring gender dynamics and the social hierarchy of team sports, two things which have been known to clash from time to time.  The Fits opens June 3rd in limited release.
