Michael Keaton Joins 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' In Villain Role
Superheroes? Been there, done that for Michael Keaton. He's already been Batman and won an Oscar for Birdman, and now he's gearing up to do something different, like playing one a villain in Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Variety reports that Keaton is in talks for an unspecified bad guy role, with rumors going around that it could be the Vulture. Keaton would be joining Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya Coleman as one of Peter's high school classmates. The relaunched Spidey gets his big debut in next month's Captain America: Civil War before jumping into his solo movie.
The addition of Keaton is another case of Marvel aiming for big names to fill supporting roles, and obviously adding the Oscar winner is a major get.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th 2017.
