Richard E. Grant Takes Villainous Scientist Role In 'Wolverine 3'

How much do we really know about Wolverine 3? Not too much when you think about it. It hasn't been confirmed that it will follow the "Old Man Logan" storyline like so many seem to think, and we have no idea who the recently cast Boyd Holbrook will be. But we know Hugh Jackman will be there, suiting up as Logan for the final time, and now we know another actor he'll be going toe-to-toe with.

According to THR, Richard E. Grant (Withnail and I, Spice World) has joined the film in a villainous role, said to be a mad scientist. That could mean just about anything, really, because there are a ton of crazy scientists in the Marvel Universe. However, looking at the ones most closely related to Wolverine, there's Dr. Cornelius, a key figure in the Weapon X program; and long-lived mutant geneticist Mister Sinister. Let's hope it's the latter because he's long overdue to appear.

Directed by James Mangold, Wolverine 3 opens March 3rd 2017.
