This isn't the first time a rumor like this has surfaced, but according to Movie Creed Live there are Netflix shows in the works for Blade, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight. They certainly fit with the dark, edgy approach favored by Marvel's Netflix series, but is there any truth to the story at all? That's hard to say, because there have been so many similar reports with little coming out of it. On the other hand, rumors about a Punisher series did turn out to be true, and Marvel does seem legitimately interested in using these characters now that they've reclaimed the rights to them.
Blade has been adapted the most of them all, beginning with the classic vampire superhero franchise led by Wesley Snipes in three awesome movies (yes I love them all for different reasons). The finale, Blade: Trinity, co-starred Ryan Reynolds in a wacky comic performance that is like training for his eventual Deadpool role. The character was then sent to the small screen for a short-lived series starring rapper Sticky Fingaz. Personally I dug it, and the ratings were pretty good but it was too expensive for the fledgling Spike TV network. Ghost Rider was re-acquired after two disastrous movies starring Nicolas Cage, while Moon Knight remains virtually untouched.
So we'll see if this is true, but if it is then Netflix might as well rebrand itself as The Marvel Network.
