Next X-Men Movie To Be Set In The '90s

If you've been paying attention to the most recent X-Men movies then you might have notice something. Each of them is set in a different decade: X-Men: First Class was in the '60s, X-Men: Days of Future Past in the '70s, and this month's X-Men: Apocalypse in the '80s. But with the future of the franchise uncertain after this, would that be the end of this particular conceit? Absolutely not.

Comingsoon.net caught up with producer Simon Kinberg and, honestly, they did a half-assed job on this but they got him to confirm that the next X-Men movie will be set in the '90s. Okay, so the natural question would be, "Hey, are you referring to the next X-Men film in this series or something else like New Mutants or X-Force?", but they didn't bother asking.

Either way this should be pretty cool, and maybe there will be a scene of theteam watching themselves on the classic X-Men animated series? Or, and this would be really cool, maybe they'll wear costumes similar to the ones designed by Jim Lee when the comic was at its creative peak?
